Controller Not Detected in Browser
First check whether your operating system sees the controller, then check the browser.
Connection checks
1. Confirm the system connection
For USB, use a cable that supports data, try a direct port, and check that the controller appears in the operating system or another trusted controller application. A charging light alone does not prove a data connection.
For Bluetooth, complete pairing in the operating system and wake the controller. If the system cannot detect it, resolve that connection before testing in a browser.
2. Wake the browser connection
Open this site directly in a secure HTTPS window and press a face button. Some browsers wait for a user action before exposing controller information. Keep the test tab active.
Try a current desktop Chrome, Edge, or Firefox and check its site or privacy settings. An embedded browser, restrictive device policy, unsupported mobile connection, or private browsing configuration can limit access.
3. Remove connection conflicts and retry
Close games, controller mappers, and other testing tabs that may be using the device. Disconnect and reconnect, then press a button again. Where the controller offers different connection modes, choose a system-supported standard mode using its own instructions.
If the device appears but the mapping is unknown, the raw indices remain useful. Do not assume that a missing standard label means a physical input is broken.
Still not detected?
Describe your browser version, operating system, controller model, and whether you used USB or Bluetooth when contacting support. Do not include passwords, account details, or a full diagnostic file unless you choose to share it.
